 A few months back, my friend Carla Herzenberg mentioned she had recently started teaching a Found Art class for children age 2+ at Seesaw in Hayes Valley. My immediate though was "how cool." I wish there had been a class like this when my son was younger! Truth be told, I used to totally dread sitting in a circle, pretending I was having fun singing "Hello Everybody" each week. Ugh. Found Art Fridays looks like something that the kids are sure to enjoy, along with Mom/Dad/Babysitter. Hallelujah!! Below is the class description: Savor your coffee while the kids make something cool! Waste not want not arts using nuts, leaves, jugs, old magazines, wood, and other found materials. Bring your own found object and we'll make it into art... register online Here is a suggested itinerary... Head over to the Blue Bottle Kiosk before class starts, let your little one have a ball and then take them to Smitten after class for ice cream... before lunch!
